SOS supports breast cancer patients in South Carolina focus solely on recovery and not the financial stress brought on by the very difficult battle.
We honor the spirit of Suzy McGrane by raising money and resources to assist and support breast cancer patients from diagnosis to remission.
We help patients cover the critical areas that insurance companies do not.
We provide financial assistance to those with every day needs such as wigs, prosthetics, childcare, gas cards, utility bill assistance, medication assistance and more.

We are completely volunteer-driven organization. We have no staff, virtually no overhead and therefore the money goes directly to fund patient needs.

Every January the Black & White Gala kicks off the year in fundraising for SOS Lowcountry. Held annually at one of the Lowcountry’s most beautiful venues, we gather to dance, nosh, catch up with old friends, and new and most importantly raise money to fund our patient outreach. In 2020 local television personality Erin Kinzele helped us raise over $40,000 that not only reached but exceeded our goal for the evening. Our Board of Directors and Volunteers could not pull off this event without the help of our amazing sponsors. We rely on their generosity to drive this one of a kind event. Please contact us for more information.
Pink in the Rink is a long term partnership between SOS Lowcountry and the Charleston Stingrays. One game each year the ice turns pink as we honor those in our families who fight breast cancer. We honor patients all throughout the Lowcountry with testimonials and an honor wall for those we love who we have lost. Pink in the Rink rounds out our three main annual fundraising events.
